Professor & Extension Specialist

Dr. Keith Diem is a Professor & Extension Specialist. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Purdue University, a Ph.D. in Extension Education from Ohio State University, and also earned teacher certification. Dr. Diem's focus is program planning and evaluation, with emphasis on youth development and serving underrepresented audiences; diversity & inclusiveness. Dr. Diem began his career as a faculty member in 1982; serving as a County 4-H Agent, County Extension Department Head, and Program Leader in Educational Design with Rutgers Cooperative Extension in New Jersey for 20 years. He has served as a Regional Extension Director for the Oregon State University Extension Service, Associate Dean & Program Leader for 4-H Youth Development as well as Assistant Director for Special Initiatives with UF/IFAS Extension. In addition, he previously served as Director of 4-H Youth Development in South Carolina and Professor of Youth Development Leadership at Clemson University where he has continued to serve as an adjunct instructor since 2007.
