Michael Andreu
Associate Professor & Undergraduate Coordinator

Since joining the SFRC faculty in 2005 I have been involved in teaching and Extension. I currently teach two undergraduate courses, Dendrology and Forest Plants as well as Forest Conservation & People. Previously, I taught: Forest Ecology, Natural Resource Sampling, Fire Ecology & Management, Integrated Management and Ecosystems of the Southeast. Currently, I am the SFRC Undergraduate Coordinator and work closely with our faculty and staff to ensure we provide a high quality degree in all of our programs: Forest Resources & Conservation, Natural Resource Conservation, Geomatics, and our new Marine Science Program. My research interests range across many disciplines within forestry including: sustainable forest management, quantification of ecosystem services, restoration ecology, & Silviculture. As an Extension Specialist I work statewide and on forestry issues that cross the wildland - urban continuum. Two Extension programs that I help coordinate are the Florida Stewardship Program and The Tampa Bay Watershed Forest Working Group.
