    EDIS / ASK IFAS Resources

The EDIS/Ask IFAS site is designed to work in a system with two companion resources: the EDIS journal site (ISSN 2576-0009) for management of peer review and for ongoing access to our publications as historical records, and an administrative dashboard for internal users to use for reporting and management activities.

    I Want To...

    • Submit a Manuscript

      Submitting Manuscripts

      New Publications

      • Start with the EDIS Word Template or reformat your manuscript using EDIS styles before submitting.
      • Ensure you have followed EDIS guidelines for developing Extension publications and own your unit's guidelines as applicable.

      Revisions

      • Start with a copy of your document in the EDIS Word Template. Get the current version from your EDIS-Admin Contact Page or its publication page.
      • Use Track Changes (or Compare the final and original versions at the end)
      • Minor revisions can be uploaded right on the contact dashboard.
      • Submit Major revisions for peer review.
      • Check with your review editor if you are adding or removing authors, changing the title, or aren't sure if it is major or minor.
    • Manage Publications
      • Use your Contact Dashboard to manage your sunsetting publications (or even make updates if they are not sunsetting)
      • Authorized users can also manage Ask IFAS topics, units, and collections as editors or contacts.
      • Uses Gatorlink authentication.
    • EDIS Data and Reports

Reports on publication activity and web traffic are available on the EDIS-Admin website.

    • Find a Publication

Ask IFAS is the public facing website for EDIS, offering a curated collection of our currently supported peer-reviewed articles in HTML and PDF format, discoverable through search or through a network of topic, expert, collection, and unit pages.

If a publication is no longer supported, it can probably be found in the archives of the EDIS journal.

Older publications and digitized Extension publications that were never on EDIS may also be found in the UF Digital Collection's Cooperative Extension Archives.

    Latest from the EDIS Blog

A photo of a mostly submerged alligator in water completely covered in brilliant green duckweed. Only the top of its head with the eye mounds and the tip of its nose with its nostrils are visible above the duckweed. The sun is low in the sky and behind the alligator so that its head casts a long shadow. It faces mostly left but is turned slightly toward the camera so that we can see one of its golden eyes, which is lit up and shining in the sun with the pupil closed to a tiny vertical slit.
